2012.05.22 I wish the Rotring ArtPen had some line-width variability. It’s a nice little fountain pen, but it’d be a great little fountain pen if it behaved just a bit more like a dip pen.

2012.05.14 My rarely-updated Bloggerblog needed a new header. The doodle asked of me, as recompense for my haste in its production, that I draught a little rhyme to keep it company. This I did.

2012.05.06 Had a bit of a professional crisis recently. Acted rashly. Made a 3-panel comic about it (read it here). This is the last panel of it.

2012.04.21 Neal Adams can do Batman in 20 minutes. I can do… a balding guy with knives… in two hours. Seriously.
Embarrassing.

2012.04.07 C3U”’ — (high-res view strongly recommended) — I’m developing something of a process, here. Starting very low-res, monochrome or indexed-colour, then working-up into multiple RGB layers, warps, shears, colour mangling, and then de-rezzing it all back down. Over at DeviantART I posted a piece stemming from the same visual-root as this’n — might be fun to have a look and see two divergent ends of the same sketch.

2012.03.06 Started out as a pencil doodle; photo’d it, digipainted over it a little, then did a lot of playing around. Totally cutting-edge-circa-1999 stuff, here.
